A stage built for who comes next.
Nichelle Murdock started Crack'Em Up to create a visible, high-profile room for Black comics. The monthly showcase grew into a weekly Comedy Store institution built around opportunity, community and the work.
Its home is the Belly Room. Its reach has extended through Los Angeles, San Diego, Detroit, Chicago, the Bay Area, the UK and the Netherlands.
The Comedy Store remains the flagship Thursday residency, with a monthly Saturday residency at National Lampoon: The Yellow Door in San Diego.
